I had a 2nd Gen OBX Header on the car, but the Stainless Steel wasn't so Stainless. It stained & looked bad.
So I Bought another 2nd Gen OBX Header from a fellow Saturn Tuner Freak in my car club and had it Ceramic Coated in BLACK.
There were 2 reasons I wanted this.
1.) It would reduce engine bay temps (by about 20% or so).
2.) It would look MUCH better then the STAINED Stainless Steel.
On Tuesday June 29th I dropped off the other 2nd Gen OBX Header at a shop that does Powdercoating/Ceramic Coating near where I work. The owner told me that it would take about 1 week to get it back to me. He showed me a shelf with 3 HUGE Turbos and their respective exhaust piping that had to be Ceramic Coated, as well as some other items he had to Ceramic Coat. Much to my surprise, he calls on July 1st saying it's done. So I picked it up then. He was able to get to ALL of the items needed Ceramic Coating. Today the 2nd I had my local mechanic remove the old Header and install the Ceramic Coated one, and I didn't miss any work since the shop gave me a ride back to my office.
